Our Overall Service

Starting with the initial phone call everything was professional and easy. We felt very comfortable making our decision to use Quality 1st.

Call Representative

Communication is key in business and their call reps were professional and courteous every time. Their voices on the phone were easygoing, relaxed and as ways assured us we could call with questions or concerns any time and made sure to ask if we had anything we needed to know before saying goodbye.

Sales Process

Paul was on time for our appointment, actually a few minutes early. He was here at the house quite a while discussing our situation and looking at the basement. As for the presentation it was direct and to the point as well as informative.

Our Installation Crew

We had a 3 man crew led by Mario. He called at 9am to tell me they would be here in 20 minutes. At 9:20 they were backing in my driveway. He came in looked around with his crew, asked if I had any questions. They draped some plastic over items we could not get out of the basement and by 9:50am they were running the jackhammers. These guys worked their tails off ALL DAY. Around 4pm Kyle showed up to see how things were going and to see if I had any questions or concerns. He stayed on site about 45 minutes and we spoke in detail on the scope of the job as well as how I felt thing were going. At 5:15 Mario and his guys were driving away, job completed in 1 day. We have a 1500 sqft ranch.

The Cleanup Process

First of all having the basement floor jackhammered is a very dusty job so there is going to be residual dust in areas, it cannot be helped. It's just a fact of the job. Mario and his guys cleaned up very well. Every thing was swept as well as dusted off in the basement. Outside was left all clean also. We were very happy with the cleanup they they did. For the scope of the project their cleanup was top notch.

What made you choose our company:

I was impressed with the presentation provided and the fact Q1 has their own products and R&D. One of the other things was, when we were getting estimates one of Q1's competitors told us they would need to cut holes in the partition walls as well as take apart part of our basement stairs but they would not replace or repair anything. Paul assured me that Quality 1st could not only just jackhammer out the existing concrete and fit the channel under those areas, they could work in around a very small closet that contains our well pump. Mario and his guys did all that. My walls and stairs are how they were and the area in the well pump closet is complete. Regarding Mario and his crew let's see if this sums it up: Hardworking, efficient, attention to detail and courteous. As far as our thoughts on Q1 overall, we are happy with everything from start to finish. Unfortunately for us we seldom do get water in the basement. We've lived in this house for 25 years and before this Thanksgiving(2018) only had water about 4 times. This year we got water 4 times between Thanksgiving and New Year 2019. In late summer/early fall We had 8" of rain in 90 minutes and I believe that put us at our limit for the soil to absorb much more. We feel confident the job Q1 did for us will alleviate our future water situation, plus it's a great selling point for when the time comes to sell the house and move on. I like to give credit where credit is due especially these days when everyone is so quick to give negative feedback and complain about something. Quality 1st was pleasant to deal with, professional in their work and the staff we dealt with were courteous, professional in every aspect.
