Before this basement transformation, this area was primarily used for storage, not allowing the homeowner to utilize the area to its full potential. She wanted to upgrade her basement to be a usable and pleasant space to utilize. She did a lot of research and decided to get some finishing ideas from Connecticut Basement Systems.
This before and after photo shows off the transformation of the staircase. Before, the stairs were just a way of transportation to and from the basement. Our Total Basement Finishing team installed an EverLast half wall that would give this basement a completed look. With this half wall installed, it improves the functionality and appearance of the entire basement.
This finishing process can be done on practically any basement. Interested in improving the way you use your basement? Give us a call at 1-800-341-6580 for your FREE home estimate!
A homeowner in Broad Brook, CT had just gotten their basement waterproofed by us and decided they also wanted to get their basement finished. They reached back out to us and our Total Basement Finishing team to come in and transform their basement. One of our Sales Consultants, Cary Benjamin, who originally sold them the waterproofing job, met with the customer to develop a plan for what they would like to have done to the basement. Once this was developed it would soon be time for our crew to work on the installation.
One of our Foremen, Sheldon Lennon, and his team started the installation. They began with framing and walls, and we installed our EverLast perimeter wall system. This is an insulated wall system that will keep the temperatures regulated throughout the basement. These walls are durable and are paintable so that if a customer changes their mind on a color, it can be an easy change. Then they installed new doors throughout the space. They created a few smaller rooms within the large basement to create different spaces for different uses. They installed a drop ceiling as well as trims throughout the basement. 4 of our EverLast basement windows were installed, helping to brighten up the space. Sheldon installed Elite Plank flooring in light pecan as well as our carpet tiles. This is a great, safe option for kids to play. Once the walls were painted, this basement turned into a beautiful, usable space, perfect for this homeowner's needs.
In this Amston, CT home, the basement was in definite need of upgrades to certain aspects of the basement. Some of areas of concern were the insulation, sump pump, and basement windows. Once the homeowner realized that these were in serious need of renovation, she reached out to Connecticut Basement Systems.
Once a CBS employee was able to determine the best steps for how to go about changing this home's basement for the better, a crew got together in order to replace a basement window, insulation along the walls and windows, and replace the current sump pump with one of our TripleSafe sump pumps. After these installations were made, the basement quickly become a much more effective and appealing area of the house.
