This homeowner in Glastonbury, CT called us to address the improper installation of attic insulation and mold problems in the first floor of the hallway. We went to conduct our Full Home Energy Evaluation and found additional mold up in the attic. This home had a radiant barrier with no air sealing, only fiberglass insulation in the radiant barrier sheets. Because of the improper air sealing and insulation, condensation and heat loss from the home was making its way past the radiant barrier and creating condensation, and eventually mold.
We removed the radiant barrier and all of the old fiberglass insulation in the attic. Next, we removed the mold using our Mold-X on the effected areas. We laid our 4" SilverGlo foam board across the wooded walkway and blew in the insulation. Next, we installed plywood over the foam board and secured it in place. We dense packed our TruSoft cellulose insulation and built a deck so the homeowner could access this area for storage. Finally, we completed our Cellulose insulation on the sides of the catwalk.

This homeowner in Avon, CT called us out to their home to see what they could do to increase the energy efficiency in their home. We saw there was old, inefficient fiberglass insulation in the attic. We know that fiberglass is not able to be energy efficient, especially without any air sealing.
We remove all of the old, nasty fiberglass insulation. We properly bag up an dispose of the materials. Next, we carefully air seal various points where air from your home leaks up into and out of the attic with foam. In this home, we insulated the ductwork before blowing in our TruSoft Cellulose Insulation to fill in any and all gaps and odd-shaped voids.

These homeowners in West Hartford, CT had been experiencing drafts for some time and decided that it was time to make their home more comfortable. There were ducts running through the attic, which, being vented, exposed the ducts to extreme temperatures, making it harder to heat and cool the home.
The existing insulation was ineffective and soiled in some spots and had to be removed. The batts were pulled out, and the blown in insulation was vacuumed out to get a clean slate. We then got to work installing our SilverGlo graphite infused foam insulation board on the underside of the roof and the gable end. There is a foil face on either side of the boards to keep heat from the roof out in the summer and keep warm air from the home in during the winter. The ducts in the attic no longer have to work as hard to maintain the temperature of the air running through them.
Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, these homeowners can feel comfortable in their home all year round.
This homeowner in Marlborough, Ma because they had old, inefficient insulation in their attic. Upon evaluating their attic we noticed old blown-in insulation as well as nasty fiberglass batts. We took a closer look and noticed Mold as well. Mold can be very dangerous. It is harmful to have in your home, especially for pets, young children, and older people.
We knew we needed to help this home. First, we removed all of the old, blown in- and fiberglass insulation and properly disposed of the materials properly. We made sure to vacuum any debris that was left in the attic Next, we spray our Mold-X treatment throughout the attic to neutralize any nooks and crannies that can be affected. Then we use our Mold-X botanical cleaner to clean all stains off of effected services. Now we are ready for the next step.
We seal up all top plates and any areas where air can escape from the home into the attic and be lost with foam. Now we are ready to blow our TruSoft Cellulose insulation into the attic. Cellulose will fill in any odd-shaped voids and gaps.
Now, thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this home has updated insulation, is safer, and more energy efficient!
This homeowner in Marlborough, MA called us out to their home to update their insulation and increase their energy efficiency. We noticed they had very small amount of insulation in the rim joists, and it was old, inefficient fiberglass. Along the rim joists around the perimeter of the home in the basement, a lot of air is able to escape out of and enter the home. Since the cold, concrete walls of the basement are buried in the ground they tend to be about 17° cooler than than your home should be. In the summer this allows warm, humid air into your basement, hitting the cold concrete walls. This will cause condensation, supporting mold. Since they only had a small amount of old insulation, there was barley anything stopping these concerns.
We got right to the home, prepped and protected the customers belongings and got to work. First,we install our Foamax insulation boards along the concrete walls. Now, we install our spray foam insulation around the perimeter of the home on the rim joist. Since it expands, it fills in all gaps, cracks and joints air was able to leak into the home before.
Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver, these homeowners are more comfortable, happy, and more energy efficient in their homes!
