*Create a livable space
This customer reached out to us because they wanted their basement to be usable space, they would like to entertain their guests and also have an area for storage. We came out and installed our Thermal Dry Elite Plank flooring, full drywall install with metal studs, prepped and painted the ceiling, installed 3 Everlast windows and numerous door installs. This basement is now ready to entertain some guests.
We did several projects in this customers basement, from Radon mitigation, to waterproofing and to this project of Egress Window installs.
For the Egress installs we used 60 x 48 Slider Egress Windows with Egress Rockwells and cover, and then we also replaced an old basement window with a larger, 30 x 30 Everlast Window.
The initial call for this property was basement flooring, they already had a waterproofing system and no active leaks, just wanted to get some flooring installed. When we arrived at the property ready to provide an estimate for flooring, the inspector he did notice a few issues. There was a horizontal crack going along one side of the block foundation which left unattended for too long could turn in to a costly issue, the basement walls were showing mold growth and the current windows and window wells, had seen better days. The window wells were metal, rusting and filled with dirt and debris, now with a heavy rainfall, water could fill up in the well and then leak in through the windows, knowing this information, the customer agreed it was time to upgrade.
The upgrade included two Everlast Window Inserts and 3 Sun house wells with Dome covers.
This was a previous customer of ours, we had just finished up with waterproofing their basement and they asked us to finish it as well. Included in that finish the customer requested an Egress window install as an emergency exit.
We installed a 27 x 45 In-Swing Egress with a metal well and plastic cover. Not only will this new egress add a safe exit in case of an emergency but will also add a lot of natural lighting in the basement.
This customer reached out to us because they were interested to have a finished open space, an exercise area, and a full bath installed. They chose to invest in Total Basement Finishing (TBF) waterproofing and mold resistant products which included the TBF wall system, flooring, and an egress window. We were able to transform this basement into a beautiful, healthy usable space!
