A homeowner contacted DBS with a desire to resolve mold and water issues in their basement since they plan to stay in their home for the long term. The project was carried out by replacing the old sump pump with the TripleSafe® Sump Pump, installing WaterGuard along the walls to ensure that water flows directly to the sump pump, and lining the walls with CleanSpace® wall protectant to prevent mold growth in the future.

Homeowners at this residence in Hibbing, MN noticed that water was making its way into their basement and collecting in pools. One of the residents has allergies to mold, and it was frustrating having to manually flush out the excess water in order to protect their living space. They reached out to DBS in hopes of finding an effective solution.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo went out to visit the site to conduct a free no-obligation estimate. After completing a thorough inspection, he noted that failing foundation walls contributed to the water damage issue. Henrik advised the homeowners that DBS offers solutions to fix the waterproofing and foundation issues.

Foreman Osia Williams led the installation on this project with his crew. They installed DBS's WaterGuard® draining system to divert the flow of water to a TripleSafe™ triple safe sump pump that pushes the water out and away from the foundation. In addition to the new drainage system, the basement walls were covered in CleanSpace®, a waterproofing poly material to cover leaky walls and direct water into WaterGuard® drains. To correct the foundational issues, they installed DBS's GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System to permanently stabilize the failing walls.

Now that both sets of projects have been successfully installed, the homeowners can relax comfortably in their home knowing that it has been properly waterproofed and permanently stabilized.

Carpenter Brandon Wollin installed the project with his team and together they installed a WaterGuard® drainage system to help divert to the TripleSafe™ sump pump they also had installed. In addition to the new draining system and sump pump, they also installed CleanSpace®, a waterproof poly material that is applied over walls. CleanSpace® will assist in directing water behind the material down into WaterGuard® drains, and the drains will carry water to the TripleSafe™ sump pump to be expelled out and away from the home through an exterior discharge line.

After completing the project, the home has been effectively waterproofed, and the homeowner can now relax comfortably in their home knowing that their home is safe and dry.

With the help of their crew, they installed WaterGuard® Drain System that would help to direct water to a TripleSafe™ sump pump that would push water out and away from the home. The crew also installed CleanSpace®, a poly material that is applied over walls to guide water behind the fabric down into WaterGuard® drains. Installation of this project was successful and the home has been effectively waterproofed.

The homeowner can now have peace of mind and relax comfortably knowing that their basement will stay drier and promote a healthier and safer environment.

The homeowner of this house in Hibbing, MN had recently purchased the property and had DBS's warranty from projects completed previously transferred over to her. One of DBS's Servicemen Jacob Nustad went out to the property to get her accustomed to the DBS hardware that had previously been installed. Upon inspection he noticed that a portion of the floor above was still sagging, so he advised her that the addition of a couple more SmartJack® supports would resolve the issue in the future.

The initial Design Specialist assigned to this job, Rich Johnsen, advised the previous homeowner on solutions that DBS has to offer.

A Foreman from DBS installed the previous projects and work that had been completed includes installing foundational repair products including 3 SmartJack® supports, and 13 PowerBrace™ I-beams, as well as the installation of waterproofing technology called WaterGuard® Drainage System and TripleSafe™ sump pump. CleanSpace® was also installed on the surface of the basement walls in order to direct water into the WaterGuard® drains. The foundation repairs that had been done were to correct wall cracking and sagging floors, and the waterproofing installations were made to protect the basement from water damage.

The new owner of this house has peace of mind knowing that their basement walls have been permanently stabilized, and can relax comfortably knowing that the basement waterproofing system will keep the house dry.
