Homeowners in Mondovi, WI had lived in this home for 15 years. They knew that the basement would consistenty leak in a few areas from the foundation. Fearful that the water issue would only get worse, causing mold and other damage to the basement, they contacted DBS.
DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation support and a waterproofing system. DBS Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the foreman on the job. He and his crew installed our WaterGuard® french drain system along the perimeter of the basement. This system directs all the moisture to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump.
In order to combat addtional humidity in the basement, the crew also connected a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier to the sump pump. This will pull moisture out of the basement, keeping humidity levels consistent.
The installation was successful and provided a solid solution to pooling water in the basement!

DBS Foreman Kevin Steffey and his production crew installed our GeoLock™ Wall Plates and Earth Anchors to the failing foundation wall. This system uses the heavy-duty anchors in and connects them to plates on the wall interior wall. Connected with long, galvanized rods, these anchors are tightened to straighten the wall over time and provide maximum support.
These homeowners were happy with the work done and now have a safe and dry basement to enjoy!

Homeowners in Remer, MN had sinking and settling issues with their home's foundation. Both the foundation and basement concrete slab were sinking and worsening over time. Looking for a permanent solution to this issue, they did some internet research and contacted DBS.
Henrik Makitalo, a seasoned Design Specialist for DBS visited the home to provide a free, no-obligaiton estimate for the work. After a thorough inspection, Henrik determined that our Push Pier System, combined with Concrete Lifting would be the best solution.
For the piering portion of the job, DBS Foreman Kevin Steffey and his production crew first excavated soil around the piering site. The piers are then anchored to the foundation and piers are hydraulically driven into the ground until they reach competent soil. We installed 4 push piers total and completed a lift procedure to restore the garage to its original location.
DBS Foreman Jason Foster then completed an install of PolyLevel®; the lifting the spots where the garage slab itself needed support.
The homeowner was happy with the work done and now has a fully supported garage to count on!
