Homeowners of this 1980's home in Duluth, MN reached out to DBS for help removing unwanted water from their basement. Water was consistently coming in through the basement foundation after rains.
A DBS Design Specialist went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the home, we recommended installing CleanSpace®, a vapor barrier that will direct water into a a new WaterGuard® drainage system. This two products will lead water to the home's existing sump pump and out of the home.

These homeowners in Virginia, MN had been dealing with a wet basement for a long time. Concerned over its worsening condition and effects on the overall health of the rest of the home, they contacted DBS for a permanent solution.
DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for this project and went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate. Royce measured several signs of significant water damage and came up with an extensive plan to solve the issues, both internally and externally.
DBS Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the project foreman. He and his crew first excavated soil around a portion of the exterior wall to perform a wall straightening procedure as well as install SilverGlo™ and SentrySeal® products to seal and protect that wall that was prone to water. This was supported internally with 2 CarbonArmor® Wall Defense straps to prevent the wall from futher movement.
Our crew also installed a full WaterGuard® french drainage system. This system sits flush with the floor and is completely hidden, directing all water to the home's existing sump pump and a new exterior drainage line.
This home is now healthy, safe, and comfortable!

Our production crew first removed debris and prepped the space by excavated a layer of soil in the crawl space before installing our encapsulation system. This consisted of drainage matting, CleanSpace® vapor barrier, and a SmartSump™ sump pump. This crawl space drainage system is specially designed for crawl spaces. It has a lower profile than other pump packages, making installation in tight quarters easier.

Homeowners of this McGregor, MN home knew they had to tackle its foundation issues soon after its purchase. Individual blocks in the foundation wall were shifting and this was causing water instrustion in the basement. A DBS Design Specialist visited the home and performed a thorough inspection, assessing the basement wall shifting, as well as the exterior of the home. The action plan for the block walls in the basement was to install our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, and well as CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System.
In order to ensure that the basement would stay dry, our DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his team installed a waterproofing system around the perimeter of the basement. This included 96 feet of WaterGuard® and CleanSpace® leading to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump.
The crew then installed 4 PowerBrace™ I-beams. Our team anchored the beams to the basement concrete, as well as to the rim joists in the ceiling. These beams will be tightened overtime to restore the wall's original position.
