The owner of this home in Forest Lake, MN was concerned about water damage and mold growth in their home caused by water leaking through cracks in the basement walls. Looking for a solution, the homeowner reached out to DBS.
A DBS Design Specialist went to the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate. After a thorough inspection, the Design Specialist generated a quote for our WaterGuard® and PowerBrace™ Systems to solve the water and structural issues.
A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed the WaterGuard® drains by jackhammering trenches around the interior perimeter of the basement and fixing the drains into them. Then they covered the holes in cement for a smooth finish. Then they began the installation of the PowerBrace™ System. They secured each PowerBrace™ i-beam with steel brackets to the rim joists of the home, and bolted the bottom to the basement floor, permanently stabilizing the wall.
Now that the basement has been permanently stabilized and waterproofed, the homeowner can relax peacefully and safely in their home.

A deck in Brule, WI was in need of some added support aside from the original wood posts that went with it, and DBS was able to send out a crew to install helical piers across the structure. These piers are comprised of galvanized steel capable of supporting heavy structures such as home decks, and they work to stabilize them from settling into the ground further. The results of the pier project can be viewed in this gallery.
These homeowners from Brule, Wisconsin reached out to DBS for help stabilizing their cracked foundation walls. The lower level of their home was partially underground with the top third above the ground.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the home, Nathan recommended installing GeoLock™ earth anchors to permanently stabilize the failing walls. The GeoLock™ support system works by connecting two plates together using galvanized steel rods and plates. One plate is installed outside the home in stable soil and the other is placed on the wall inside the home. Over time these connected plates are tightened to correct bowing walls.
This home was repaired by DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his production crew.
This home is now healthy, safe, and comfortable!
The former support for this home was shifting and was no longer providing the support that was needed for this section of the home. Using our helical piers we were ablet to drill down deep into the earth to provide the home with a solid base to stand on. Using this system provides permanent support that will not weaken due to frost issues and shifting ground.
