The owner of this 1900s Duluth, MN home noticed large horizontal cracks formed in their basement walls and were causing them to bow inward. They also mentioned that every time the train up the road passed by, the house would shake. Using hydraulic pressure, the push piers are driven further into the native soil and are able to lift the structure up. After securing the beams, further wall movement is not possible. Over time, the beam positioning can be adjusted in order to slowly restore the wall back to its original position.
