Dealing with a damp problem in Minneapolis meant understanding the homeowner's distress when water intrusion became a regular headache for part of the house. Our mission? A dry, safe basement, starting with a custom solution. We installed our effective WaterGuard® and CleanSpace® systems, coupled with an SmartSump™ pump discreetly positioned in a closet. As you can see in the after photo, the space is now waterproofed and revitalized. We turned a troublesome area into a worry-free zone, ensuring a durable solution and a home that stays dry, season after season.
Homeowners from Blaine, Minnesota reached out to DBS for help keeping their basement dry. Over time water was pooling and causing damage to the walls along with musty odors throughout the home.
DBS Design Specialist Scott Giles went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. Scott assessed the damage and identified where water was entering. He recommended installing CleanSpace® vapor barrier, WaterGuard® french drainage system, and a TripleSafe™ sump pump. This home was repaired by DBS Foreman Zach Jorenby and his production crew.
This home is now dry, odor-free, and healthy!
The owner of this home in Blaine, MN noticed that her belongings in their basement were getting ruined during rainy seasons. They wanted a safe and dry basement to be able to finish part of the space eventually. In hopes of finding a solution, they reached out to DBS.
A DBS Design Specialist went to their home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate of the issue. After a thorough inspection, the Design Specialist provided a solution to their issue, a french drain system. The Design Specialist came up with a design proposal on the spot so that the homeowner was able to get an idea of how much the installation of the system would cost.
A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed a WaterGuard®french drain system around the perimeter of the basement interior by jackhammering trenches, placing the drains inside, and finishing off the project with concrete for a flush finish with the floor. The crew also installed a CleanSpace® water vapor barrier on the walls to help direct leaks behind the material down into the drains.
Now that the home has been properly waterproofed, the homeowner can relax more comfortably knowing that their belongings will be free of further water damage.
