Void Filled with PolyLevel to Raise Sidewalk in Hermantown, MN
A family in Hermantown, MN was concerned over the sidewalk leading to the front door. A void beneath the slab was causing it to sink during warm months and lift during winter months. The family reached out to DBS for some expert advice on the best course of action for their concrete.
DBS Concrete Repair Production Manager Steve Lafontaine visited the home and took measurements of each section of concrete. He proposed a solution to raise the slab using PolyLevel®. PolyLevel® is made with a specially engineered 2-part compound foam that expands when applied and hardens when dry. Concrete Repair Foreman Dustin Behning and his crew drilled small pea-sized holes into the concrete to inject the foam beneath the slab. Once the concrete was level, they used NexusPro® to seal the joints.
This 20-year old concrete slab is back to safe and level - ready to use for years to come.
Sidewalk Entrance to Church in Esko, MN Lifted and Leveled by DBS
The biggest priority for this church community in Esko, MN was to tackle their concrete. Settling sidewalks near their entrances were created tripping hazards and were difficult for some congregation members to navigate. They learned about DBS via a referral and contacted us for a free, no-obligation estimate for our concrete repair service.
DBS Design Specialist Justin Mundahl is an expert in Concrete Repair and visited the church to provide an inspection. After taking thorough measurements, he designed a solution that would fill the voids beneath the concrete and raise the slabs back to a level position.
DBS Concrete Repair Foreman Dustin Behning led a crew that completed this church project. They began by drilling pea-sized holes into the target areas of the concrete. From there, they used a pressurized hose to inject our 2-part solution called PolyLevel® beneath the slabs. This expanding foam's lightweight formula is designed to lift concrete without adding extra weight to the soil beneath and causing more settling. The foam hardens and it cures to provide a durable, sustainable fix that won't wash away over time.
This sidewalk entrance is now ready to safely welcome members once again!
Garage Apron Lifted and Leveled in Ashland, WI
A homeowner in Ashland, WI was having issues with his garage apron settling and had sunk down a couple of inches. As a temporary fix, he used 2x6 wooden boards to level the gap. Knowing this was not a permanent fix, he contacted DBS to provide a permanent solution.
DBS Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen, visited the home and provided the homeowner with a free, no obligation estimate. Rich suggests the use of our PolyLevel® to be injected under the concrete slabs and lift the slab back to level. Along with the PolyLevel®, he also suggested the use of our NexusPro® Joint Sealant to seal and protect the concrete from erosion, cracking, and sinking.
DBS Foreman, Steve Lafontaine, and crew then come out in installed both the PolyLevel® and NexusPro® to permanently lift and level the garage apron. The homeowner can now drive in and out of his garage with ease.
Concrete Driveway Lifted and Leveled in Ashland, WI
A homeowner in Ashland, WI was having issues with the concrete slabs in his driveway sinking and cracking. Wanting to permanently fix the issue before it became worse, he contacted DBS.
Our Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo, visited the home and provided a free, no obligation estimate for a permanent solution for the driveway. Henrik suggested the use of our PolyLevel® injection foam to raise the concrete back to level, and NexusPro® joint sealant to seal all the cracks in the concrete.
Our Foreman and crew then went out and lifted and leveled the concrete driveway by inject the PolyLevel® underneath the concrete slabs, and sealed all joints and cracks with the NexusPro® sealant.
The homeowner can now have a piece of mind knowing his driveway is permanently leveled and sealed, and have an ease of driving in and out of his garage.
Concrete Lifted and Leveled at home in Ashland, WI
