Quality 1st Basement Systems patched up this leaky crack in the basement wall with FlexiSpan. FlexiSpan is a flexible seal for cracked walls that keeps moisture out of the home. It stays bonded with the wall permanently for a long-lasting solution. Now this Princeton, NJ basement is dry and safer.

Quality 1st Basements received a call from a homeowner in Princeton, NJ about sagging crawl space beams. The sagging beams had caused gaps up to a full inch between the floor and the bottom of the door in each bedroom. Foreman, Juan Garcia, and his team installed SmartJack Stabilizers. Each SmartJack is adjustable to lift the failing floor joists and beams that are causing the floor to settle. 

A homeowner in Princeton, New Jersey had small puddles of water in their crawl space during heavy rains and contacted Quality 1st for a solution. Our System Design Specialist, Jeff Nero, inspected the crawl space and suggested that the crawl space be encapsulated to eliminate the water and moisture. First, Drainage Matting was installed on the crawl space floor to make sure the water entering the crawl space gets directed to the sump pump. Drainage Matting has raised dimples so the water underneath does not get trapped under the liner. CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System was installed on the walls and floors to hold back water vapor and humidity. CleanSpace is a durable bright white liner that will not rip or tear making it perfect if the homeowners want to use it for storage. This crawl space will stay dry and protected. 

Quality 1st Basements provided this homeowner with a permanent solution for the foundation issues they were experiencing. The interior foundation walls were bowing inward and large horizontal cracks began to form in the block foundation. They noticed that windows and certain doors in the house were being to stick and that the floors became uneven. Overall they had great concerns about the stability of their foundation. Luckily a friend had used  Quality 1st Basements for a similar foundation concern and recommended the foundation specialists. 

Our team installed our CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System to stabilize the wall and begin to pull the interior wall back towards it original position. Each CarbonArmor strap is installed with a strong apoxy resin and then secured with a heavy duty steel bracket. For additional support, our team installed 7 PowerBrace beams to stop further damage to the wall all while preventing future bowing and titling. 

After this homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basements regarding water in their basement, our System Design Specialist, Tom Carrano, headed out to inspect the space. The old sump pump and french drain system had failed, so Tom proposed the installation of WaterGuard and our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Following the initial appointment, our team went out to install the system. Jonathan and his team arrived on time, introduced themselves, did a full walk through with the homeowner to explain the installation process and what would be performed.
