Our client's basement in Laval was damaged on several occasions after his pumps failed and water infiltrated this living space.
Having found us on the internet, he knew that our basement finishing products were perfect for his basement.
Our specialist inspected the client's basement, and showed them our Total Basement Finishing product line, which is especially made for Basement humid spaces.
Since the walls were not completely damaged, he recommended only a partial finishing with the Everlast Basement Wall Restoration which are part of the Everlast Basement Wall line. These walls cannot be damaged by water and come with a 50-year written warranty!
The specialist also had a couple of meetings with our client and his wife to decide on what type of flooring to go for. They chose the MillCreek flooring along with the insulating ThermalDry flooring under it.
MillCreek looks beautiful, as it imitates wood in looks and texture. All of our flooring products are completely inorganic and cannot be damaged by water.
Our clients were extremely happy and relieved to have a beautiful basement that cannot be damaged by any flood.
Mr. Paquin in Verdun, Quebec called us because he needed an upgrade for the 10-year-old sump pump system in his basement. He was looking for a system with a backup battery in case of a power failure. We offered to come by for a free inspection and our specialist Patrick went by to check things out. After assessing the situation, Patrick decided that the best course of action would be to install a new drainage system. Our experts first installed a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System to drain the water from the basement. They then installed a LawnScape™ discharge line outlet system at the end of the buried discharge line. Finally, our experts installed an IceGuard® Sump Pump Discharge Line System to prevent water from flowing back into the home, even if the discharge line is coated in ice or snow.
Problem
Our client in Delson, QC, had persistent water infiltrations within their basement, despite the presence of a sump pump. Following a detailed and free inspection, our specialist Patrick noticed that the existing drainage system faced major issues. Firstly, the discharge lines were obstructed by the soil. Secondly, the pump was constantly functional, indicating its inadequacy in dealing with the infiltrated water.
Solution
Our team installed the WaterGuard interior drain system along the perimeter of the basement. This patented system is designed to prevent clogging. Moreover, it is straightforward and quick to install, unlike French drains that require excavation.
Next, we implemented the SuperSump sump pump system, including two distinct pumps. These pumps will evacuate any infiltrated water, even during a power outage, as the second pump operates on battery power. Finally, we installed a new discharge line, connected to the pump, to direct the water outside.
Our clients in Gatineau were suffering from water infiltration problems in their home's basement which caused humidity in the area and has also lead to severe coldness in the basement that has reached the whole house as well.
As you can see in the first picture, the water has penetrated the floors and structural paint damages have occurred on the walls.
Furthermore, our professionals have installed a WaterGuard system, our SuperSump sump pump, as well as our SaniDry and IceGuard systems and finished it with the EverLast wall restoration systems.
Our clients are now very happy since they did not face any humidity problems again and can enjoy their new warm, dry and beautiful basement.
The problem
Mr. Sirois noticed a high humidity in the house, cold air on the main floor coming from the floor and some places of the hardwood floor on the main floor was no longer at level. The cause was the humidity in the crawl space. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to add a good vapor barrier membrane, clean the crawl space to improve air quality and reduce the humidity.
The solution
Adding a SmartSump sump pump system, a drainage membrane and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Most of the moisture in the crawl space comes from the earthen floor that contains water and it can come also from the walls. The SmartSump will therefore be able to remove water from the ground outside and away from the foundation. The drainage membrane, on the other hand, is placed on the ground and makes it possible to drain the water that is on the surface towards the sump pump system. The CleanSpace coating which acts as a vapor barrier is placed over the drainage membrane and blocks moisture from the ground.
