Over 8 years ago, when Mr. Serge and his family moved to this house, the plan was to address the crawl space problem. For several reasons, Mr. Serge decided to postpone the work, telling himself that it was not a priority and that the problem would perhaps resolve itself. 8 years later, water infiltration is still present and now a smell of humidity is found on the floors. It was time to fix the situation once and for all.
Our team went to do a complete appraisal of the property, lasting nearly 2 hours. It is essential for us to properly identify the needs of the situation and to respond to the customer's concerns. When there is water infiltration and affected air quality, it is important to resolve the situation quickly. Our specialist advised Mr. Serge on the combination of the CleanSpace product to insulate the crawl space and a very efficient dehumidifier, the SaniDry.
Problem
Mr. Ste-Marie has several problems related to his crawl space:
• Humidity and musty smell in the house
• Sensation of a softer floor in certain places
• Water infiltration
Solution
To address moisture issues, water infiltration and softer flooring, our team encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and our vapor barrier installing them on the dirt floor and on 4 feets to cover the foundation walls. Next, we installed a SmartSump sump pump system designed to address water seepage in the crawl space.
Problem
Mr. Vincent contacted us after noticing irritating odors in his house. Our specialist, Dan noticed excessive humidity, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere in the adjacent rooms. Dan then directly examined the crawlspace of this house, which was the source of all these complications. Dan explained that a bad and moldy crawlspace could further cause structural damage to the house's foundation.
Solution
Upon receiving the authorization, our team of workers installed our CleanSpace encapsulation system throughout the crawlspace. CleanSpace includes a drainage matting and a perimeter drainage. Next, we implemented a flexible layer of thermal insulation called TerraBlock. TerraBlock is made from a ¾-inch thick foam insulation. It is resistant and durable to allow access for repairmen and homeowners inside the crawl space. Finally, we installed our SmartDrain to prevent any water infiltration in case of plumbing leaks.
Problem
Our client from Becancour, recently contacted us after noticing issues with water infiltration in the crawlspace. It showed evident signs of moisture. It was crucial to find a solution to prevent the risk of foundation settling.
Solution
With our client's authorization, our team of workers began by removing the mold stains. Next, we installed the CleanSpace system, consisting of a specially designed matting to prevent moisture and infiltrations. To complete our work, we installed a drainage system to effectively channel any accumulated water towards a sump pump system.
The moisture and mold issues were effectively resolved, thus creating a healthier indoor environment. Additionally, the risk of structural damage related to moisture was significantly reduced.
Problem
We received a call from Mr. Danny regarding complications with his crawlspace. Our specialist, Alain, visited Mr. Danny at his home in Wickham for a free inspection and estimation. The signs of problems were obvious within the crawlspace: An unpleasant smell, moldy walls, and a constant sense of humidity. Alain pointed out the importance of taking prompt action to prevent structural damage to the foundation, which would require more delicate and costly work.
Solution
Our team of workers began the renovation work. They encapsulated the crawlspace using our excellent CleanSpace system. This system includes:
- A drainage membrane that improves water drainage. The honeycomb surface helps transport water to the perimeter drainage. Additionally, this drainage matting softens the soil and increases the durability of the encapsulation system.
- A vapor barrier that protects the crawlspace against condensation, which occurs when warm air comes into contact with cool surfaces. The crawlspace vapor barrier also prevents groundwater infiltration from evaporating into the air.
Furthermore, we installed our high-performance SaniDry™ dehumidifier, which automatically maintains the ideal humidity level. Controlling the crawlspace's humidity helps prevent mold growth, wood rot, and pest infestations.
