As you see from the before picture we opened up the floor around the walls to install TrenchDrain, Waterguard and a TripleSafe Sump pump to remove water from the basement. On the outside of the house we put in Iceguard to prevent water from backing up as a result of frozen pipes.
When we arrived in this basement, it was wet and leaky. However, becasue of the thick, monolithic floors, installing a conventional perimeter drain would be impractical and inefficient. Instead, we used the DryTrak baseboard drain pipe. DryTrak drainage channel has a unique profile designed to capture wall seepage and ground water that leaks into the basement along the floor/wall joint. When combined with a high-performance sump pump system from Basement Systems, DryTrak drainage provides an effective, worry-free solution to basement water problems.
When we arrived at this home, we found that the existing sump pump kept clogging. Because of this, it was unable to pump water out of the basement. In its place, we installed the TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe includes a high-strength plastic sump liners instead of unlined sump pits. A liner does a better job of admitting water but keeping sediment and debris outside. Additionally, the TripleSafe's oversize plastic sump liner contains 3 sump pumps that can work together or separately depending on pumping demands. With the TripleSafe™ system, the owners don't have to worry about high pumping demands that can overwhelm or burn out single-pump systems. And if there's a power outage, the TripleSafe system will keep operating, thanks to a battery-powered backup pump.
When we arrived in this basement, it was wet and humid, and in need of a sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump from Basement Systems is part of a well-designed system with top-quality components that work together to keep your basement dry. The TripleSafe is the ultimate system; its oversize sump liner holds three pumps to handle storm-level water flow and power outages. With this system, you don't have to worry about high pumping demands that can overwhelm or burn out single-pump systems!
This Darien basement was damp, cold and had a musty odor. The homeowner wanted a solution to solve all of his basement concerns. After doing some research, he decided to call the experts at Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut!
On the day of the appointment, Keith Rongey, was the Sales Representative who arrived at the home to perform the home evaluation. After his inspection, he concluded that a WaterGuard System would be the perfect product to ensure that water would not enter the basement. The homeowner was impressed with the product and thought it was the best option for his basement needs. With no time to waste, he scheduled a date for production to install the WaterGuard System.
Sid and his production crew arrived at the home on the day of the production date and installed the WaterGuard System professionally and efficiently. Just look at the difference in the before and after photos! The WaterGuard System is installed on the perimeter of the basement floor underground. The system catches and channels the water away from the basement by directing it to the sump pump, where it is discharged through a discharge line.
With this product, the homeowner should not experience any water which will decrease the musty odor. This system solved all of the homeowner’s concerned and he now enjoys a clean, dry basement thanks to Connecticut Basement Systems!
