A DBS Design Specialist went to the home in order to conduct a free no-obligation estimate of the issue. After completing a thorough inspection, he noted to the owner that the foundation was in failure but DBS had a helical piering solution that would permanently stabilize the area of the foundation that was sinking and settling.

Foreman Dustin Behning led the installation of this project alongside his team. Together they drove 2 helical piers into the ground beneath the foundation. Helical piers are designed to fit under the foundation of a structure in order to stabilize it and in some cases, it can even push the structure back to its original position. The crew also filled in large cracks in the garage that had formed over time.

After the space was thoroughly waterproofed, Foreman Osia Williams led a crew in the installation for our PowerBrace® System. This system is able to permanently stabilize the wall and can be adjusted to move the walls back to their original positioning.

DBS Foreman, Trevor Ingle, and his Co-Foreman, Gavin Denzler, then installed the helical piers around the cabin to lift and stabilize the cabin. These helical are driven into the ground using hydraulic pressure. Once the pier reaches solid, stable bedrock, the pressure pushes against the ground and causes the piers to stabilize the structure. 

The cabin owner can now have a piece of mind knowing his cabin is permanently stabilized.
