In West Bolton, QC, a homeowner faced the challenge of a clogged French drain, turning their basement into an unwelcome water feature, as seen in our 'before' picture. With our mission to deliver outstanding results and ensure long-lasting satisfaction, we tackled the problem head-on. Our solution? A comprehensive WaterGuard drainage system, paired with the robust protection of the SuperSump sump pump and sealed with CleanSpace for moisture control. Notice the transformation in the 'after' photo— a dry, comfortable, and usable space, testament to our commitment to quality and our customer's peace of mind.
We once received the following customer request: "I want to have an inspection of my basement, because I have a problem of water infiltration and an external drain is not a possibility for us". No problem, interior drains are our specialty! So we sent our basement waterproofing expert Andrew to do a complete assessment of this damaged basement and to recommend the most effective solution for dealing with this problem from the inside.
Then we sent a crew to start the installations. They started by sealing a crack with FlexiSpan. Next, they installed a 143-foot perimeter of WaterGuard interior drain and then added a CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane to the walls. Finally, to dehumidify and purify the air, we installed the SaniDry XP dehumidifier!
B&A
Problem
Mr. Tremblay had an outdated, old and unsafe pump system. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc to change it to avoid any future problems.
Solution
Our team changed their pump system to our TripleSafe system. It is the most efficient, safe and airtight lid and includes 3 sump pumps, one of which is a battery backup. So even in case of a power outage, the TripleSafe will work.
When you have a sump pump installed in an open sump hole, the water vapors are released into the air with bacteria and will contaminate the air, making the air quality bad. In addition, it can be a bit of an eyesore and probably not very effective. The pump is at risk of being blocked if something goes into the hole.
The TripleSafe system is airtight and contains 3 sump pumps, one of which is powered by a battery to serve during emergency situations such as power outages. The TripleSafe coating contains holes to intercept water that is present in the soil. The lid is waterproof so that water and water vapor do not get out.
The sump pumps in the system are maintained on supports so that they are unaffected by sediment entering with water that may accumulate.
Finally, this system is beautiful to the eye and sturdy. You can drop things over without fear of affecting its effectiveness.
