This basement in Foster was having problems such as high humidity, moisture, and growth of mold. In order to fix this problem, our team went for a free inspection and noticed that the existing sump pump was not effective.
Actually a sump pump system that does not have an airtight lid will allow bacteria and mold spores to spread into the area.
In addition, the pump was not working efficiently during floods and heavy rain periods.
Thus, our team recommended the installation of the SuperSump pump that has exceptional performance and value.
Its top-rated Zoeller cast iron pump offers reliability and high-volume pumping, and it also has a built-in alarm alerts when the water level rises too high.
If you have a well that contains a pipe and a pump, it is not a good sump pump system. A good and efficient system can work under all possible circumstances and contains the following elements:
- A hermetic coating and lid
- A pump that operates under normal conditions
- A second pump that works during heavy rains or storms
- A battery booster pump that works during emergencies when there is a power failure.
Problem
Water was still to seep into our client's basement, despite him redoing his french drain recently. During the free inspection, our specialist Jorge explained that the French drain, despite its popularity, can have certain limitations. It can get clogged due to the accumulation of soil inside. Besides, its maintenance is costly and time-consuming, which requires excavation.
Solution
- We installed the WaterGuard interior drainage system around the perimeter of the basement, on the foundation footing. The WaterGuard pipes have a 3/8-inch protruding flange to channel water from the walls directly into the system. Additionally, the WaterGuard system features a series of openings for easy access to the drains for cleaning, inspection, or repairs.
- We connected the drain to our revolutionary SuperSump sump pump, which, thanks to the Zoeller pump, can absorb up to approximately 14,500 liters of water per hour.
- We installed a discharge line with our IceGuard system to prevent any flooding in case of freezing of the discharge line.
